Hello!

Floped top two on a HU pot when V completed the SB. I floped very well, bet for value, target Jx Tx and draws. OTT I get a backdoor flush, I bet again, should I check behind here? I actually don´t think so, for me the Ace don´t improve much of V´s range, but gives the board more draws, and now I can target Ax too, I expect AT and AJ to raise pre flop very often.

OTR another Ace, and the flush is there, V checks to me, I assume I have another value bet here, am I wrong?

No reads on villain.

I don’t think you have value over any hand in SB’s range that Check-Called twice out of position. I don’t think you can push him away from the chop either.

I would happily check back and showdown

3rd time writing this, keep getting logged out or asked to opt out of sharing. Stop already.

Anyway as I stated the previous 2 times,

Check the river as LadPark stated.

A Calling machine will also call with A rag in this spot, esp. a passive one.

You most likely have very few bluffs in your range when the As gets there so it’s super hard to bet thinly for value. It’s also a spot where your range looks so strong that villain might even consider folding a better Jx hand, so I think JT specifically needs to be one of the hands you’re most likely to check behind here, since you’re unlikely to get better to call and getting worse to fold is only a small possibility.

As an aside, I think shoving preflop is probably better than checking back. You get to realise your full equity plus fold equity, and most villains are likely limp-folding too much in these spots.

No read….Bucking Fummer man!

When ever we enter the pot in that position with only the SB completing we should 3 bet. This is a show of strength and unless the player is just that bad they’ll recognize that, a pro such as theGinger45, or a manic (there’s a fine line between genius and insanity) may then put us through a meaningful decision by shoving. In which case we must decide to call or fold. In which case I would fold. We should 3 bet even if we’re bluffing as it makes a statement, we are strong….hear me roar!

This player apparently would just call.

We flop top two, a Cbet is in order of 1/2 the pot. This keeps our image of strength and builds the pot. It also makes V make that meaningful decision we were talking about, but only if he/she has the capacity to make decisions, as we know nothing about this player it could be either way.

The Turns an A, I still think a bet after a check is in order. He’s not shown any strength, is only calling and we know nothing about him/her. this time we should put out a strong 2/3 of the pot. Which again, he/she may or may not call but they would have to take time to decide.

The river A is checked to us surprised, very very scary card, as it give the V more possibilities,

such as if he/she had J,Q or J,K they would take to pot because of kicker.

theGinger45 I was putting you on the genius side of that, You didn’t become a TPE pro because your a wack job!smile

Isn´t 18bb effective too much to just shove pre flop? But V is showing weakness… I will try to put this on my game smile
