Hello!

Full Tilt, $3 Buy-in (600/1,200 blinds, 150 ante) No Limit Hold’em Tournament, 8 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager – The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (SB): 37,580 (31.3 bb)
BB: 25,973 (21.6 bb)
UTG+2: 33,527 (27.9 bb)
MP1: 29,892 (24.9 bb)
MP2: 17,302 (14.4 bb)
MP3: 32,391 (27 bb)
CO: 15,105 (12.6 bb)
BTN: 12,234 (10.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7diamond Aheart
6 folds, Hero raises to 3,000, BB calls 1,800

Flop: (7,200) 4spade Adiamond 7club (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets 1,200, Hero calls 1,200

Turn: (9,600) 4club (2 players)
Hero bets 4,800, BB raises to 21,623 and is all-in, Hero ?

So, I 2.5x oop, V calls, flop top two, think this is a dry board to cbet, so I check/call, should I check raise? or cbet? still don´t see much calling me here.

OTT I am not sure why I bet, on the moment I guess I was affraid of a check behind and bet, V shove me, I don´t think there is much 4x on V range, maybe I am wrong, thoughts?

Just bet flop. You do have the board a bit killed, but it’s not like V needs top pair to call you in a blind battle. Anything else is going to look suspicious; as you see, once you check-call flop, the jig is up. You no longer look weak (which I guess is what you were going for when you checked flop), and now you can’t figure out how to get money in any more. This is also a good example of why you should do less slowplaying from OOP. Have you seen my Getting Paid series?

your line makes a lot of sense.

I have watched again first two episodes on saturday, I am having trouble on this, will take a day off and work on that serie, I will get better.

With the flop being a very static one with few draws and Ace high, it’s very good for you as the preflop raiser. It makes sense from a GTO perspective to be c-betting this flop with a high frequency, and betting this flop with most of your strong hands as well as most of your weak ones, so I think A7 is fine to bet there.

As played, I think the reason I don’t like your line is because there are almost no hands you could conceivably play this way as a bluff. You represent a more polarized range leading a paired turn, which you can’t really have when you check-call a static flop. I don’t think I would fold to the shove (you have A4 blocked and there are few other 4x combos in V’s range) but I do think you got yourself in a bit of a weird spot taking this line.
