Hi all,

Tourney is 3k guarantee 6max.
So: playing in the little league I don't come up against flop reraises that often, just wondering what you guys think best line is here?
Villain is 38/24 over 44 hands and came on to the table as chip lead. This is on the bubble.

He could be just making a move on you with air or a weak holding. Some players love to c/r the cbet because it looks so strong and the flop misses you hand like 2/3 of the time.
Now … V’s calling range could include worse aces, as most times people will re-raise AK, so we shouldn’t have to worry about that. (In most cases, though a savvy player might call to trap, but we don’t see that play alot)
AA and KK are pretty much right out because of the same logic.
Other Pocket pairs, most of which you are ahead of, are in his calling range, and to a lesser extent suited connectors, giving us the possibility he is drawing.
Worst case is he flopped a set on us, but

IMO this is going to be a 1) a set 2) a big combo draw eg JhTh or 6h7h 3) a weaker Q protecting against draws 4) sometimes air but I doubt it on such a draw heavey board.
All that said i think your cbet on this board looks weak i.e. just an auto cbet so could be KQ protecting. had you cbet say 60% of pot and he c/r raises you I would say you are almost definitely facing 1 or 2 above.
You are crushed by 1) flipping with 2) and ahead of 3) and 4) so I think I would flat and evaluate on the turn depending on what comes. On a non Heart or srt8 coordinated turn card, if he leads for around 1/2 pot I would put him on a draw and might consider getting it in. If he leads for significantly more than 1/2 pot I would seriously consider folding as he nearly always has us crushed.
Its a tough spot but I do think the smallish cbet has made it more difficult for you to get a read on what you are facing.

Hey, re the bigger flop bet, you are completely right I auto piloted on the cbet. Didn't think to price the possible flush draws.
So, either flat/re-evaluate (leaving about 30bb) or bet bigger/fold (leaving about 34-36bb) seems the better line.
(I jammed instead, as is seen in spoiler, obv higher variance).

I think that with the buy in, combined with the stats, I am probably opening a touch more to like 2.5-2.8bb bc the villain is more than likely going to call, and when you connect I am trying my best to get it in. It appears that the villain likes to splash around a lot. However, on the c/r alarms should be going off. I do agree that the c bet is to small. It appears that we are weak and in many times when we bet like this, we do it to balance our range. I don't mind the bet size if this is how we have been betting our c bets all along to induce action. In saying this though, this goes to the villain we are playing. I really don't think this player is thinking about sizing, so I even bet 2/3 pot here looking to get it in. I think when he c/r flop, he has a flush draw, or 2 pair+. However, KQ can be in his range and you are ahead. I think at this point the decision to 4 bet get it in on flop needs to be made right here. You are either ahead or behind post, and by calling the c/r, we need to be prepared imo to get it in on the turn. Sure getting it in on the flop is higher variance, but I think a lot of times you will be ahead. By calling the raise, what are we going to do, when a blank comes? Fold? This where it is so important to have the plan of what we will do pre. What did the villain have?
