I noticed you got upset with “sonny2816” during the Poker Stars Nightly for flatting your raise near the end of part 4 of your 100c sweat. Yet I saw that you flatted raises as well. Were you upset with the cards they flatted with – in his case 92ss(??!!!) vs. your KTss. Admittedly, I would certainly fold a 92 hand in any situation other than a predetermined steal spot, but what was it that pissed you off? In your note on him, you were talking about him flatting with 13 big blinds. But is it really wrong to flat for a flop? Your pre-flop bet was barely above a min-raise – 625 on a 300 BB. He then flopped a deuce to pair up. You then bet only 675 post-flop and checked the final two streets. Your post-flop bet might have signified a monster, but then to check the turn and river – I'm only surprised he didn't shove.
Help me out here – perhaps I'm missing something.
Thanks.
flatted with 92s with 13bbs out of the bb is not profitable. You just don't have enough chips to be playing bingo poker where you hope you flop a pair. I don't think I sounded that upset, just simply saying that is an awful play.
Tournament poker is all about stack conservation and finding good spots to re-steal. Just flatting with 92s with 13bbs is always bad and a -EV play.
