Been at the table for an orbit and havent played a hand yet.

Due to the size of the openers stack I figure I'm getting called often, but will be ahead often too.  Think I'm getting folds nearly all times from caller.

Good spot for 20 BB stack?

Perfect spot, decent enough hand. Think it's far too nitty to fold and you can't flat. GG

If you get called you're crushed. Villain opens in ep and has a monster stack plus he can get a bounty knocking you out. With so many small stacks left to act behind him he's def willing to get in against most players.

If you were to be in the bb and villain raised from the HJ/CO/BTN as he would do often (loose image, if he'd open tight I'd be carefull) and a player in between flats, that would be more a squeeze spot as their ranges are wider and the majority of the time you would have the best hand or you can make the move w lesser holdings as you wont put villain and the caller(s) on a strong hand.

So in this case I dont think it's a good spot as IR opened in ep (strong hand), has a big stack, you still have 4 players left to act behind you and AJ doesnt do well against IR's opening/calling range.

He’s not always crushed. A lot of midpairs are going to raise/call with these stack sizes.

We need chips. I’m getting it in here in this spot.

I can defo see opener doing it with weaker A's, mid pairs and even KQ, KJ, even KTs.   He might not call with all of these, but he has over 100bb and could convince himself its worth a call……

I think this is a great spot opportunity to get it in and win the chips already in the pot or win a flip.  Sometimes Vicka is going to have a hand but I think a good % of the time you are getting folds and adding a good amount to your stack.

Looks like I have to change my opinion since Ive been doing the same thing the past week reshoving AJ w 15-20bb after an ep open and the consensus is that it is a good reshove spot.

Just because there's a bounty on every player villain will prolly take more chances to bust someone than opening tight because there are so many short stacks he'll have to call off.

So I was wrong the first time and my reasoning came from the nitside in me that rarely comes out 😉

yep well played imo

you're right that villain is very deep and will or should have a decently wide opening range here and he's obv folding some of these

also, if he has any clue, he should think we're NOT light b/c we have an EP raise and an EP call in front of us

if he does open the hands you state Ax's and some broadways, then we actually wouldnt mind a call here against that range either

he had A9 didnt he?smile
