Hi guys this is my first thread I have created on here so let me know if I can do anything to improve asking a question on here. I am trying to post the hand history in the converter but I keep getting an error. I wonder if it is because my tournament took place on a New Jersey site?

Anyway, this is the nightly $30 rebuy $10K guarantee on WSOP NJ. We are past the rebuy and add on period. Our villain is running 22/8/2.6 over 319 hands. I think my play up until the river is standard but please let me know what you think. On river now do we fold or call? I can't imagine shoving is an option but if you think that's best let me know. Our villain has been quite passive for most of the tournament, including before the add on. My preflop raises are often smaller but this table likes taking flops so I went bigger here (prob could have gone even bigger than this).

Bigger pre from EP if the table will allow…I know the dynamics preflop in this tournament can be awkward, so I have no issue with 3x or 3.5x depending on the players behind.

I also don't know what to make the villains river sizing…looks fishy to me.

River's a crying call, and I'd bet at least a bit bigger on the flop, especially if you think Villain is going to be very Level 1 and not think much about your sizing. Against better players I check turn, but again if he's really loose then I guess you can just plan to bet three times for value.

Yeah I went back and forth between betting turn but decided in the end I'm just getting too much value from 10's to check here.

I guess I should add in the fact that he tanked on turn and I really was getting the “feeling” (don't know if that should factor into decisions lol) that I was going to get c/r'ed. He called and then bet river for like 2/3 his stack pretty quickly (once he called turn I thought he would shove river and when he bet 2/3 his stack it felt even stronger than shove). I would say 90% of the time I crying call here but I'm trying to plug leaks and I feel like I get shown a flush a huuuuge chunk of the time so I decided to just fold rather than call and complain. Not totally convinced that was the right play but I think I do get shown a flush (or rare boat) a big chunk of the time vs this type of villain.

I could see that timing tell swinging it to a fold. Basically if he has a decision on the turn, then has an easy bet on the river, either his hand improved or he was planning a c/r. Either way that makes me want to fold. Good job paying attention to that sort of thing!
