hey

V on the bb is a loose passive fish.

I raised turn to get value from 5x 7x or a hand like 68s and draws. I was not worried about the other opponent , dont think there's
hardly any Ax in there range as they would of bet these otf when checked too.

otr does anyone think we can get bet for thin value? or do u think checking back is better as we do have SDV. I don't think
we're getting called by worse though if we shove.

cheers.

If we’re not getting called by worse when we shove (which I agree with) then it seems like we can’t even consider shoving, unless we’re trying to turn QQ into a bluff, which I don’t think is good either since we have so much SDV.

I don’t particularly like the turn raise, you’re right not to be especially worried about the player left to act behind but it’s unlikely the first player would lead out there with many 7x or 5x hands in the first place – they might be a loose passive fish but that’s a fairly vague definition of their playing style, so some HUD stats would help. In any case, there are two players left to act, so leading out with 7x or 5x would likely be very bad in villain’s spot. I’d expect to see more checks than bets, especially if they lean further towards the passive side.

I think your turn raise is pretty thin, but I could see it being okay. Would prefer to make it a little smaller though, around 650 or so to give villain better odds. The BB can still have plenty of Ax hands so we don’t want to inflate the pot beyond the point where they can continue with 7x.

I think you played the hand okay, as long as you didn’t shove river. You’ve already come to the conclusion yourself that you’re never getting called by worse, so the only reason to shove is as a bluff, which isn’t necessary here.

One other thing – the title of this post isn’t really very clear. It makes it sound like you’re berating your opponent for not folding, or maybe you’re asking whether you should shove river for value, or something else. It’s better to title your posts something like “QQ raise turn and decide river versus passive villain”, since that gives more information about what you’re actually asking by posting it. Not to mention, calling your opponent a fish and laughing about them indicates a bit of a mental game leak. As Tommy Angelo says, “your opponents are like trees on a golf course” – there’s no reason to laugh at them.

Thanks ginger, I agree with everything you have said.

I checked back river ,  Villian shows 7heart4heart

as for the turn , say for instance we put villian on a draw heavy range which includes a hand like 74s , do u think raising it 800 would be okay as played? or would u rather still make it smaller like 600-650 , so we can offer good pot odds for them to call with worse like 7x 5x. I actually think raising smaller is better overall, since their range is not only going to consist of draws or combo draw like Kheart 7heart (will be much wider then that) , it's also going to include maybe small pairs 33/44/66.

cheers.
