Well, had I not seen the river I would have suggested a blocking bet of maybe 1/3 pot so we are thinking along the same lines there. I dont think most fish bluff raise the river, but I dont know if the min bet pissed him off or not.

Hmm…

Which value hands take this line? 77 or maybe 88-TT because your line looks like AK to some guys?

Which air hands take this line? Missed hearts?

Honestly, I dont know. I would normally bet like 1/3 on river and fold pretty quickly. I might call here to see if the min bet made him tool out.

His raise on the rvr is still only to 1/3 of the pot, so i guess its down to what you think his bluffing frequency is, if you think you are good 1:4 times its a call.

I would read your rvr min donk as “I have something with showdown value but cant beat a Q” or “I'm very strong and I want to induce more action” – so, if i was in villains shoes I would assign a split of about 80/20 to these 2 assumptions and probably take the oportunity to put you to the test. If I can beat a J but want value from a J I would bet about 40% of the pot, if I want to get a J to fold I would probably bet 55-65% of pot depending on opponent. I would also be this amount if I had a decent flush and put you on trips, trying to get a decent amount of value.

Here I think villains bet size on rvr is polarised to 'trying to get you to fold with air for as cheap as possible' and 'I really want you to pay me off' – I think I am calling here a highish % of the time, i think a monster hand is at least raising on the turn tyring to stack you off as you have shown a reasonable amount of strength so far.

I actually think your min bet here has made this already difficult spot more difficult.

Also, I think the 3bet pre OOP could be a little larger, especially against a fishy spewy player. think I would have gone for something more like 2099-2211.

seems to me that the board is crazy wet and he cld just have the Ah in his hand and betting on the come and then giving it one last raise at the river to try to win the pot .i guess its tough to narrow his range that much but with the flat call on the flop and the check on the turn is wierd.. if he had a Q hed be betting so u wldnt hit another heart unless he had the heart nut then again a bet on the turn wld be coming unless it was exactly Ah Q.  JJ or 33 might check the turn after the Q comes also to let u hit the heart if u had 1 and then just c/r on the riv with the boat.
