In June and July usually i work up at a summer camp for kids here in Colorado. Great experience. Problem is i won’t have ANY time to play mtt poker. So probably gonna play a relatively small amount of online cash. I’m taking this as a learning experience to learn more than push/fold. Where do you think I should start to learn about it?

There’s another training site basically devoted to cash. Nothing else comes close unless you make some poker friends who are winning regs at 100 NL or above.

you could always play SNGs too – 45 man turbos take about 80 mins to complete, or you could obv also play STTs too.

Prob won’t have more than 45 minutes at a time is the thing. Not enough time for profitable cash session? What about hu cash? Could also get into super turbos.

i played a fair bit of heads up cash a couple of years ago.

it was great on cake and other networks that weren’t tracked by PTR but all of the bigger sites were full of bumhunters, even at 50NL. and i wasnt even doing that well, but as soon as people worked out that you werent a huge fish they would stop playing.

HUSNGs are kinda similar in that you will have people who wont sit you if you are anywhere decent.

maybe 6max super turbos are an option?

6max cash is definitely an option, especially in terms of fun. i think it is the most fun form of poker (final tables of big MTTs aside)

I'd probably start with 6-max cash and maybe try and mix in some HU.  I'd also recommend trying some of the hyper turbo sit n goes.  The variance is extremely high but they can be a lot of fun and people still make quite a few mistakes.  If you are looking for some cash game training I'd def try out CardRunners as they are really good in the cash game training area.

Doest it have to be NLHE? Omaha is much softer and you’ll prolly learn it fairly fast, of course the variance is one thing but as a MTT player it shouldn’t be an issue. Winrates are bigger and it’s much more fun too.

E: Plus, playing PLOHU might be one of the most effective ways to improve your overall understanding in poker.

Umm. I’ve always been a little worried that I might struggle with learning Omaha and try to play it like nlhe. You think it’s easy?

I could def try that

The variance in PLO is far worse than mtt's.
