This is a $5 dollar multi entry tourney. CO has been flatting openning raises 45% of the hands over 40 hands and 3 betting 12%. I decided to open with T9o in MP1. my thinking was that if called my hand more than likely would not be dominated. I think AA-99 3 bet my opening along with AK and AQ. so his flatting here didn't worry me. On the flop I C-bet and he raises. I didn't feel like he hit any of this and that he may be raising with flush draw or jusr 2 overs not believing I have anything. thoughts?

I would have shut it down after his reraise post flop. At best you are in a pissing contest with him.

Don't open stuff like this in MP when 1 or more people are continuously flatting you in position.

I would not have played the hand in the first place, however as played I would be tempted to just push his reraise on the flop.  He is probably putting you on two overs and feels this flop would not have hit you.  His flat pre would seems to put him on high cards also or a PP smaller than your pair otherwise he probably would have 3x pre.

On a side note the 12% 3-Bet percent is this a large number?  I use a HUD but sometimes find it hard to analyze the number and use them to my advantage.  What is a range for low, normal and high 3-bet percent?

Yeah, I probably shouldnt have played this hand in the first place, but I was correct in my read, he had KQs. i still think if that is what i am putting him on(flush draw with 2 overs) then I don't think my play is correct. What do you think?

As far as the 3 bet percentage, i believe it is on the higher end of the spectrum at the levels I play. I think that a lot of players at this level only 3 bet AA-JJ and AK, so the percentage of time that they actually have those hands is less than 12% IMO. currious to know what the pros think an average 3 bet percentage is?

12% is pretty high.

Your average fish will only have a 3 bet % of like 1-3% depending on the number of premium hands they pick up.

To figure out what 12% would be – go into Poker Stove and select the top 18-23% of hands. Then take a blended selection of those.

12% is going to include a lot of pairs, suited connectors, premiums, and maybe some junk hands for overall balance although including pairs would make it a merged range and not a polarized range so junk hands may or may not be included.

Actually… people with a 12% 3 bet play wider than I suggested. You could take the top 30% of hands and look at those – the 3 bet range is typically closer to the top and bottom of that with a little bit in the middle.

fkcoolers, i doubt people are merging in a $5 tourney, but i agree with the rest of what you have mentioned

skyboss, i would say that 4-7% is probably about average for a 3bet percentage. maybe a bit higher for the laggys and the higher the stakes, but from my experience at these stakes, my 3bet percentage of around 6 is one of the higher ones in general i would think.
