interesting spot.  don't think i'm folding in the heat of the game.

Did you have history with this villian, most importantly was the 3 betting LP raisers from the blinds with frequency?

His Cbet% is super important here too.

check raise on the turn is the only scary part for me, but I still think he can do this

His line is super strong, but you have to put him on KK or AA for his line to make any sense and if his hand was AA, then he would prob need the Ac to min raise the turn, which we know he did not.

the river card is a perfect bluff card for him if he a hand like K10 A10, 87 or 89(if you think he is tricky enough to 3 bet this range).  Really seems like he's turning AK or A10(with the 10c) into a bluff here imo.

Not finding a fold in this spot, but you might have made a really good one.

Have to think you have some history with the villian to be flatting his 3bet pre this deep. If no reads, I would fold pre. How the rest of the hand plays out then becomes more read dependent than card dependent, imo.

Viallin was quite fishy think his stats were 34/22 over 80+ hands. However, this was his first 3bet – so on that basis a fold pre is sensible. I decided to play the hand as a) im in position b) if I smash the flop I feel I'm getting paid off a lot of the time c) i'm not going broke with any 1 pair I make.

My read on the hand:-

1) when he 3bets (reasonably big) and then checks the flop, take control then giving it up. He as either flopped total monster or pot controlling so hands would be KK, AK, TT (JJ and QQ less so coz of my hand)

2) the mini c/r on turn when flush hits, sends out warning bells – hands now AcK, KK, AcA, TcT (doubt he takes thsi line with this hand)

3) rvr, this now reduces his hands to KK, AA no club (unlikely), TTc or airball. His rvr bet is under 1/2 pot but is 2/3 of my stack and think it was sized according to my stack not the pot.

4) Putting the pieces together I decided he had flopped a monster from the start or had spazzed with AA on the turn and rivered gin.

Given that this was his first three bet, and we're still so deep, I think you just put him on a tight range there and fold pre as you state. As played, I put him on PRECISELY K-K given the info provided. so it's a fold for me.
