Hey Guys,

My ICM understanding for Sat's is a bit limited. Im just wondering what we do in this situation here with QQ vs the action in front. I know that youaredeadlol is isolating pretty wide here but with the fact that 5 get paid & 7 are left & I am currently 3/7 is this a call or a fold here?

If this is a call/fold – what is our calling range here given the circumstances – Im am pretty sure TT is a fold & maybe JJ also – AK not sure?

Cheers

Dan

I think I am folding JJ or lower and I'm also folding any unpaired hand including AK. KK and AA I am calling and I think QQ is right on the edge for me. I think the reshove has to be a strong hand here though I still I expect us to be ahead almost all the time with QQ and if we win the hand then we are pretty much safe at 1/6. But they may have 2 overcards between them which means we are not much of a favourite if at all and if they are both behind then there is obviously the possibility of them sucking out. If you fold then you are likely to now be 3/6 and even with 8bbs have a huge fold equity on a shove. The short stack at the table will also be going through the blinds ahead of you and so he will have to make a move soon. So, tight as it sounds I think I lean towards folding here.

Just for the reason that this is a satty and there are still 2 people with 6bb stacks and one guy with a 3bb stack, you can find a fold here.

Right – satellite strategy is to not bust, not to win. We can still get our seat folding here.

Yeah folding is definitely fine here. Unless you get super unlucky and the shortys keep doubling u are almost guarenteed a seat playing solid. As stated, we are just playing for the seat, not the win.

The villain jamming over top the shortstack is a good mtt/180 reg fwiw. I've put very little time into sat strategy so i'm not sure if/how this fact would affect out decision here
