Should i always be leading the turn?
As played, is there anything we can beat on the river? Easy fold?

No, I dont think u should always lead the turn. I like a check/raise on the turn. Since he checked, yeah the river is ugly but I am not folding. I dont think he checks a J on the turn if he is holding one and I dont think he plays a set that way. So feels like you are the winner winner. Only hand I see him beating you with that he checks on the turn is a big flush. Not seeing it though, call call call.

This is a fold for me – though these ones are never easy!

When he shoves over your river bet making the pot around 900 and leaving you with around 1700 to call he clearly means it and I doubt he is doing it with a single jack on such a dangerous board (personally I would always just call in that situation if I were him). I would put him on KJ or J10.

Maybe it is better to lead the turn as you really dont want to see another spade on the river.

I'd be folding pre flop to start even if he had been making raises alot I wouldn't want to be playing 23s out of position to both players.

The flop I would call to try and make the flush.

The turn with the made flush I most definately wouldn't  want to give a free card as any spade he might have, would beat you if another spade came out, I would be betting here about 500 to 600 to give him bad odds on a call with a random spade.(if he rr here I would figure i'm proably allready beat unless I had info on him making raises like this with draws or a pair) and if he did push allin here I could get away and still have chips to play with.

With the river as played and 1805 left in my stack I'm folding to the allin and putting him on 10J, KJ or the nut flush(unless I know he's a nutter player capable of making this move with much less). I would think that if he made only the 2 pair or the streight he would have no reason to push all in and risk his whole stack on such a scary board with streight, flush and full house possibilities.

I think the best possible way to play this tho is to just not play it and not put yourself in situations like this.

I probably lead the turn since I think all single pair and even 2 pair hands the villain has are now looking to get to showdown for free/cheap but will call if we bet but check back if we check.

We could also lead and get it in vs. sets and one pair hands with a spade redraw.

agree with this, i think check raising is bad because most hands, even 2 pair hands, will check turn and call any non spade river for pot control, so you want to be betting here.
