Should I try to get it in on the flop? I didn't want to lose him.. Not sure the optimal play here.

Yeah losing him is a possibility here but this flop hits him a high percentage of the time. Myself I would click it back and see what transpired.

Make your c-bet bigger and jam the turn next time.

As played, once he checkraises you on this flop you should be able to get it in no problem unless he did it as a bluff.

I like to click it back here on the flop.  It's really hard from him to get away from a minraise and in a small buyin with tons of donks like the 1/4 Million you can induce a lot of spew.

yea i like the click back in those situations sometimes if you click it back really fast it looks like a misclick type some jibberish in the chat right after also like a partial sentence.

I'd go ahead and c-bet bigger and also bet bigger on turn.  I like the idea of clicking it back on flop as well if we are going to c-bet so small.
