There may be a video on this topic which I just haven’t reached yet but if someone can just give a quick description of their usage with suited connectors I would appreciate it. Outside of easy raises with hands like suited broadways what kind of action do you take preflop. For instance 5-6 suited from early, middle, or late position. When you are dealt this hand are you happy to raise or do you get it and think fold unless it’s a great spot. 9-10 suited?

Not a pro here but here's one answer.

I think it depends a lot on your stack size and other factors .. first of all 23s through 56s are often open folds no matter what, unless in steal position with a huge stack.

Generally with 56s-9Ts I think it's best to have a stack over 35BB but preferably over 50BB.  With these stacks you can open raise these hands from late and mid position, and 9Ts you may be able to open from early position too, with 50BB+

If someone opens these hands in front of you, I think you can call if you have over 50BB because you have great implied odds if you flop a monster.

I think you can often complete the SB if one or more people limped in front of you, and you have over 25BB with 56s-QJs .. maybe KQs if you don't want to isolate (like because there's too many limpers).

I also think you can sometimes defend in the BB if you have over, say, 30BB, someone minraise opens or makes it 2.X, and one or more people call in front of you, giving you very good pot odds to call with suited connectors.  However, if you have something like 20-25BB, you may actually want to reshove with these suited connectors because your stack is so good for reshoving for fold equity.

I'm sure this is not completely accurate but it's one set of thoughts.

I think they can also be open shoved with a shove stack if you are in late or maybe mid position but I'm not sure about that.

I avoid opening with 56s-9Ts with stacks like 15-25BB, unless in late position and the big blind is found to be folding tight.

Too many variables to put any kind of guidelines on it, but there are plenty of spots where opening suited connectors is a very profitable play. In fact, I would say the major mistake most people make with suited connectors isn't when it comes to raising them, it's when it comes to flatting them. I think a lot of people speculate preflop much too often with weak SCs, often against ranges or players that can't really pay them off that often on the rare occasions they do flop big.

This is a really hard book to read, but if you want a truly accurate answer, this is a tome of knowledge.

Stack size and position matter much also.
