I check here in these deep stack events. Might look suspicious but might also look like you have AK or some mid-pairs.

In a normal MTT with 1500 or 3000 starting stacks and quicker structure I c-bet.

Checking is ok if you think the guy is a nit as you crush the flop but betting is good because it helps balance your range.

i bet my hands alot when i hit the flop. there is 2 clubs so you will get paid from that draw. and villain is floating alot on that board so you want max value and there folding if they have air anyway and i hate to check myself right into runner runner clubs

I like a c-bet here as well…..especially if you are doing it quite a bit…..doubt he's going to give you credit for having a Q here very often based on a iso raise and a c-bet.

I would have to agree..If you are c-betting alot, c-bet this board. FWIW, when ppl c-bet on paired boards I tend to not believe it and if I got the stack I will float to fire on the turn or pop them on the flop. So, I think its fine

But are you doing that in the early levels of a super stack tournament? Probably not, I would guess. That's why I think checking here is optimal. I'll take a chance that a card completing the flush comes because you're either betting and taking it down on the flop or getting 1 street of value by the river. Very rare that you see much different than that here.

y2k, i understand ur read and for this i think it is optimal to cbet with the nutts here. to bad u get no action. it happens to me often as well………… FkCoolers, i agree with ur reasoning as well. but too often here a chk would seem too suspicious if we were to get away from our tendancies.

My suggestion is to go for value. You don't want to start varying it up when you connect strong with a flop as even the most occasional observer will figure that one out. Play it hard and fast and extract max value!

I agree we are probably getting only one street of value. The question is where can we get it? Some player love to float the flop especially on a board like this. This would be a great to bet small on the flop, check turn and try another bet on the river. Or maybe our only hope is check flop and check turn hoping he picked up something or may just take a stab. Its tough when we smash the board to typically get much if any action.
