Need some help on this one.. Let me break down the table first.

I arrive late to a local 120$ casino tourney. The table I get put on is created with all the late comers.

As we are sitting there i notice a very very pretty girl sitting in the 1 seat, myself in the 5 seat.. My initial read is that she like poker and knows the concept but is basically a level 1 maybe 2 thinker.

Her dad is at the table as well sitting in the 6 sit. As hands go around I’ve notice the pretty girl limp hands she plays and calls raises.. She showed down 3 hands which were all winners including KKs in one spot.. And K8ss in another

So I know she is limping any paint suited cards .. monster too.. I feel she doesn’t play well after the flop and want to get to showdown cheaply.

So then this hand comes up .

Blinds are 100/200

Pretty girl ~ 6500
Hero~ 8500

Folds around to pretty girl on the cut off and she limps and so dose the hi-jack .

I’m on the button with K9ss and feel that I can pick up this pot with a raise / cbet so I raise to 700$

The sizing is BC this is a local tourney and people here just flats 2x raises and plus I’m on the btn and I tend to raise large in late position .

Go back to pretty girl and she looks back at her hand .. Syes and then calls cut off folds.. We are heads up to the flop of

10d 9c Js

In live tourney I tend not to look at the board and pay attention to my opponents actions. I see he glance at her chips when the flop hits. She thinks and then checks quickly.

I think she kinda smashes this flop. With a limp calling range of all pairs and I think k8ss+ based on past Hands. So I don’t want to bet/fold so I check… Thoughts?

The turn is 10h

She check quickly agian.. Now I know what I said about my read but when it’s check to me twice live and hand was already betting a little less then half pot.. It gets back to her and she looks back at her cards then basically goes all in-

Now what? How would you play it pre and post .. What did I do wrong here? Should I check the turn and get to a show down cheaply too ? How can she have a 10 here? Or KQ I feel that those hands lead the turn

I think you played it fine.  Looking at her chips is a pretty classic tell of stregth (although I almost never watch for it or use it…lol).

I would probably bet the turn as you did, but keep it very small.  bet sizing is not going to mean much to her so you could literally bet like 20-25% of pot and then just fold/give up.

I like your flop check and I'd definitely check back turn as well. There are barely any hands to get value from and with your read, getting XRaised is very likely. Check turn and evaluate the river.

i think im checking back that turn because i dont wanna be raised and hard to see many hands ur beating you get value from with turn bet and then see what she does on river but i agree she could be all over this one
