Is it profitable to steal vs tight tables with 10 – 20 BB stacks when antes kick in? In my limited experience playing small stakes ($20 and lower) MTTs on Bovada, I have found that play becomes very tight late in tournaments. Even though my opponents have good shoving / re-stealing stacks, I am starting to think it may be good to try incorporate more steal raises into my play.

It seems like I’m missing out on some value if I fold hands like QJos, A5s, KTs, 89s, etc in early to mid position only to see the big blind get a walk for the 5th hand in a row.

Should my stealing strategy change at all if you have a 10 – 20 BB stack given the same tight table dynamics?

This is something I finally figured out last year. What you’re describing is another way to play your opponents, rather than your own hand.

Table dynamics is one of the greatest influences of your range in the moment, and you’re right to include it in your thinking. The best is if you widen your range at a tight table, your suited connectors are well disguised when the flop hits you.
