Hello! Im new to poker and just wondering if anyone could help me out explaning some poker stats.
I was wonderingn what the “Chips(EV adjust) really means and how ist connected to other stats, like the “Net won chips” ?
bb/100 and EV bb/100 how are they connected? The EV bb/100 should always be positive/ more then bb/100?
Same with the “$EV” how its connected to Net winnings etc? Whats a good “number” for the “$EV” stat? Why is the “Net won chips”, “always” negative?
How can I see on the stats when Iam “running good” vs running bad and what does it mean when someone says like” im running 50k chips under EV” ?
Is there any other important stat that is important to have?
I got the VP PF 3bet etc aswell just not here.
I know that it isnt many hands but I just wanna try and understand the stats. I think I know the basics but I wanna know how they are connected like I wrote above.
Thats it I think! Would be super if anyone could help out abit. If its poor english I blame that im swedish. 😉
Thank you in advance!
This graph is from my first week of MTTs and some Sit and gos.
This is from earlier today when I felt I lost every all in even tho I got it in good.

Hello P-Noob,
I saw your name and I know a reg who uses the same name…I wondered if it was you. But I think he’s a s/nova so maybe not.
Unfortunately I have disregarded my HM2 graph for a long time now. My graph used to be an important feature for me…if it is for you I would be careful which Tourneys you play. My graph became totally unreliable after I played some Prog KO’s. It was a known fault with the graphs, I’m not sure if it has been fixed. I asked if I could edit my graph but apparently, much like the mileage in a car dash, one isn’t able to change the thing…even if it’s faulty. Just a word of caution.
If I remember correctly, if your Chip Adjusted EV is greater than your Net Won Chips, you are running below ev. And vice-versa.
The ev adjusted value is for all in situations before the river, and in multi-way pots when no more actions are possible from the other players.
As I said I have not used the graph page for a long time…years, and so I am sure there are way better people here than me to advise you.
As far as I recall when I used to avidly check my graph to see if I was running under EV or above, I remember the research I did around it told me that most serious experienced players didn’t take much notice of the thing. It is not a reliable measure of skill.
GL P-Noob!

Oh and just a friendly word of advice,
I think this section is for MTT strategy alone. Probably your question would have been better placed in the software forum.
I am not a mod though, so don’t take it from me. The forums have become for myself probably as valuable as the videos. You always get great feedback, well not always, but usually. There are loads of different sections…even down to meditation.
