I just joined the site and this is my first question, hope I've posted in the right place.

I've built a pretty good br on PKR as it was the easiest site for me to deposit to, since it's based in UK and I had a UK bank account. However there just aren't enough tournaments on there to put my hopefully new found tourney skills to good use.

So I'm looking to deposit $1000 – $2000 on another site. I already have accounts at FT and PS, both of which have been dormant for years. I have no rakeback deals and this is something I think I should be looking into. I play on a Mac and have poker co-pilot installed already. Recently I download AP but haven't depositied yet – if I decide to do it, how do I get a rakeback deal? Will be looking for sign up bonuses too but the most important thing is the range of tournaments. I live in Thailand so I am GMT+7 therefore evening tourneys in US morning tournaments for me.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Others from outside of the US might be able to provide some insight.  Have you already created an account on AP?

Cake might be an option?  Not sure what the action on Victory is like these days.

anyway, gotta throw this out there…

I created an account in AP but have not deposited at all – is it still possible to sign up for rakeback?

Does rakeback really make a difference if I am playing tournaments only?

I think once you create the account, you are locked in unfortunately.  Rakeback is probably better for cash playes, but still a nice bonus for MTT grinders as well.  If you start 8-12 tableing at decent stakes it can add up pretty quickly.

Thanks ttwist – the guys at rakeback.tournamentedge.com have been very helpful in asking AP to retag me to a rakeback account – hope the outcome is successful. If so I will probably deposit with both AP and PS and see which I prefer. I have played a bit on PS and like the interface and the sheer number of SNG and MTTs but if the games are softer on AP, I will definitely give it a try.
