This is from a $200 live tourney, day one of two. Starting stack was 30,000, I am at 60,000 and average is around 35,000. Villain is a complete maniac with a 160,000 stack. He has got his chips through some crazy play, he regularly 10x 3bets pre, showing down random hands, such as gutshots and second pairs. He has become uber agg recently, trying to bully with his stack and has gone all in on the flop, turn and river, betting way over the pot.

My question is that is this the spot I am looking for to build a big stack or is it too much to risk with TPTK?

Hero 60,000 chips, Villain 120,000 chips.

Blinds are 150/300 with 25 antes. Villain is utg+1 and I am mp2. I have AcQc.

Villain limps and I raise to 1100, all folds to him and he calls.

(2875)  Flop is Q83 rainbow.

Villain donk leads 300 and I raise to 2100, after pausing for just a couple of seconds the villain goes all in.

Calling all day!!!! Its hard to think anyone could be stupid enough to donk lead only 300 with two pair here. He likely has middle pair or a gut shot like JT. This is about as good of a chance you are gonna get to double through this guy you have watched be an idiot.

Man 200bbs is an awful lot to get in.  I'm calling here if hes been playing this reckless and showing gutshots and second pairs.  If he does happen to donk lead with two pair or a set more credit to him but he could easily have QT or QJ here and think hes way good.  Call and dodge his outs and have 400bbs instead of 200bbs.

wow 200bbs is a heap to get in i agree but i'd also pat the dealer on the back as long as our hand holds

we obv want a monster vs an uber agg crazy man and this is close enough.. otherwise someone else is just gonna get those chips before we do!

Thanks for all the feedback.

I tanked for a while and then folded the hand. I decided that it was high variance when I was chipping up anyway. He showed 8 10 (as some of you guessed) but I was still happy with my fold. Then the more I thought about it the more I hated my play, as said in the replies this was the spot I had been looking for against this player and from the way he played it, it was unlikely that I was behind. OK, well I won't make the same mistake next time.

If anyone is interested, the villain picked up eleven bounties that evening… and still didn't make it through to day 2. I made day 2, but not the money, 3bet shoved 20bbs with 46s into QQ, who got a chip count, tanked and then called (and held).
