A perpetual goal of mine these days is to be more perceptive of spots to pick up chips.

This is a $5 Bovada FO.

-Do you like the squeeze? I thought it was a pretty good spot, though some boards may give trouble.

Overall, I expect a rando Bovada player’s range to be fairly wide when they flat. It is possible some will flat big hands, but I think most of these guys will be pretty trigger happy here with the top of their range.

My squeezing range has hands that will enjoy barreling for value and as bluffs, but this is a strange part of it. I’m not thrilled betting flop and jamming turn.

Is it okay to bet the flop and check/eval turn?

Is leading the flop a small amount to block/induce viable? I think if the board was a touch less coordinated I’d like betting small, but not sure here.

“I’m not thrilled betting flop and jamming turn. “

Then don’t squeeze with this hand. You gave some reasons why you think the caller is light, but the original raiser is really the one you need to watch when you’re considering a squeeze. This is an OK spot for it, but calling will be pretty profitable too, and I think that’s what I’d prefer.

As played, bet the flop and play poker on the turn. Why wouldn’t that be OK?

Because I’m a HUGE FISH at poker!!! cry Where is a fish emoji when you need one?

I realize it is a flaw in thinking that you often highlight. Ranges aren’t static and just because we bet one street doesn’t mean we have to bet the next.

This is something for me to work out on my own, but I wasn’t sure if there were enough draws in his range for me to bet flop and jam turn.

I think this is probably a good “top of my range” hand for me to put in my turn checking range, and double barrel AT+.

This is a hand with good “flopability” and I understand it will play pretty well in multi way pots. At these stakes I tend to get a lot of folds squeezing in these spots. And while I’m probably a better post flop player than the average $5 MTT player, I have MUCH to learn, and all that makes me like winning pots pre, especially when oop.
