Any case for getting it in pre?

Spots like this make me say "oh he thinks its a good spot for a squeeze". But they usually have it, probably because it really isn't that reat of a spot?

Anyway, his post flop sizing confused me. Is that a sizing people are cbetting their whole range with these days?

It isn't going to get much easier on the turn, but if he has air in his range isn't this the sizing he would use? I'm confused

yell.

I'm just getting back into poker after a good while.

Thank you for your thoughts.

PS couldn't get the HH converter to work.

A 4-bet preflop would scare a lot of his range. I don’t know how I would size it though. You’re out of position, and 2 are left to act, but any raise will get most of his range to fold if he actually is squeezing.

Am I too tight for wanting to check/fold the flop? It is easy for him to represent an ace after you flat pre and check on the flop. But if you float on the flop, you have to call the turn as well. That 8 doesn’t change much.

As far as his sizing on the flop and turn, that seems standard. He doesn’t need to bet more because there are no draws.

Yes I'm sure folding the flop was the right play.

In the moment I tend to tell myself that their preflop line is bluffy, but I don't think I have much cause to believe that. If that was the case I should probably be 4b/getting it in pre.

On the flop I'm only beating JJ and bluffs.
