Hi, another marginal spots i wouldnt mind hearing some others thoughts on please,

Its pokerstars anniversary sunday million 9mill gtd, we are in the monet with about 5.5k runnner remaining.

Folds to us on the button and we have 20 bbs, in hindsight i believe the play is just to shove here.

However the SB is sitting with 20 bbs also, and the BB had 12-13 bbs, my thought process at the time was to 2.25x from button, fold to a sb shove and call a shove from the bb, possibly get to see a cheap flop that if we improves it would be well disguised and if we miss totally and its a scary looking flop and either of them show strength we are prepared to give up and get away without commiting too much of our stack.

Regardless of this the BB does shoves on us do we always call????

Hey

In general, if you don't have a read on these opponents I would recommend just shoving 22-55 in this spot sometimes 66 and 77 if you feel uncomfortable with your post flop game. Raise/call shove with 66s+. When looking at this spot, ask yourself, what are we trying to accomplish here? Do we want to take away the play from our opponents or do we want to induce action (raise/call a shove) and/or potentially play post flop in position vs weak players. By shoving the smaller pairs we take away a lot of their reshove range such as some Axs and broadway hands we are flipping with. Same goes for if we are in this spot with broadway hands people should't be calling our shove with small pairs like 22s and 33s since they are almost always flipping.

Hope this helps.
