Okay, just joined a few days ago and to say that my confidence is sky high is a understatement to say the least.I have been playing for aroud 11 years and am the owner of around 51 different poker books.I have been sponsored by a low level poker site in the past where I had relative success playing mtt's and sit n go's,not really a cash game player besides omaha hi/low limit and regular limit hold'em.I have been watching the live sweats and hand series history and took my knowledge from these and applied them last night in a $150.00 $35,000 guarantee here in Daytona Beach. The starting stack was 25,000 with 30min levels starting 25-50-antes started at level 4.

I played the best I have ever played and before this hand came up I was the chip leader at the table with around 95,000 and the table average was around 45,000 with blinds now at 800-1600- 200ante. I had to fold AQ 6 different times before this hand came up, 3 times pre-flop-2X they showed my KK's :)..I was in the zone and those folds just boosted my confidence even higher.A older gentelmen came to the table and within 20mins made 3 very questionable al in calls for 35BB's with 77's- called a 25,000 reraise all in when only 7700 in the pot with K9 and another raise and reraise with A-10 and gotten lucky all 3 X by beating-AK-Ak and then QQ's with those 3 hands. So I wanted to trap,he was in the cut-off seat and raised to 4800 and had taken the chip lead at the table with around 110,000, I was in the small blind with around 95,000 and had 2 AA's.I decided just to call to try and set a trap since raising out of the sm blind I figured would show my hand face up.The flop cam down 7s5s7c..I checked and he bet 11,000.I just called and I did have the Ace of spades. The turn now was a 6c and I checkd again and he bet 25,000 and I pushed he rest of my stack in and he showed Jc7c…..Did I do anything wrong here in this hand? I left the tourney at 1:40a.m. and the drive home was soo happy with the way I played wasn't actually that mad'Mental game of poker' really helped me in that regard just wanted to know if I had made any mistakes in this spot? Anyways please let me know what you guys think and cannot wait to get back to the videos and to the next tournament,

  Thanks Darren

3 bet pre. Most of your post was describing how terrible he is pre-flop and how he calls big bets incorrectly. I see no reason why he'd stop doing this.

We're also so deep that you want to build the pot pre-flop such that you have the option of trying to get all-in on the river if the board looks favorable. Just calling doesn't let you do this unless someone makes a pretty large raise postflop.
