hey

no reads on the intital raiser ..i was thinking that flatting is good here given that there's short stacks on the button and  blinds.

do you prefer 3-bet or the flat pre?

I’d be much more concerned about winning a big pot from the guy who may have a good second best hand than winning a medium pot from a short stack. You could be missing a ton of value by flatting here.

I agree. They’ve raised from EP so it’s likely they are raising with a narrow range and also given that there’s a ton of re-steal stacks v is likely to be opening up with a tighter range. If they have hands like 99+ AQs+ they are very much likely going to 4-bet shove with these or maybe shove with worse. So yeah great spot to 3-bet.

Eh, I like the call. Most of the hands you're talking about stacking pre-flop will stack off on a lot of flops anyway, and I think a 3bet here will look very strong given it's vs an UTG open. I presume you would have a flatting range here, right? But would you ever 3bet-fold? That makes me want to call, even moreso if I had AA, for which there is really no bad flop.

That's a tough question foucault but i'll be honest with you my flatting range here would be pretty strong vs an utg raiser so that would be KK+ i'd 3bet shove 99+AQo.  as for my 3-bet fold range that would depend on my reads on villian if he's been active and i have seen him raise/fold quite oftenly  then i will3-bet/f a heavy blocker range A2s-A8s  K4s-K9s will also add a few offsuit aces into my range.
