I really need to go back and study sizing as that seems to be a common question of mine.

I didnt want to be more aggressive with it as the guy in the big bling was a calling station who had ran good. He was willing to call down with just about any pair and I didnt want him to get away. I knew I was ahead of the original raiser so i wasnt to concerned about him.

I think i missed a ton of value here against two opponents. Should I have bet more on the flop?

On the turn when the board picks up more draw outs should i bet more?

TBH, I think you're getting nit-picky. We obviously have the best hand, he called your turn raise and river bet for half pot. I mean maybe you could have made the turn raise a bit larger… but AP, well played IMO. Max value when ahead.

With the other two showing a lot of interest in the pot I think the turn bet could have been larger with the draws developing but don't get like me and bet so much you force everyone else out of the pot trying to protect your hand. You want them to draw getting incorrect odds. Looks like they were determined to do that though so you might have gotten a little more in the pot with the best hand. Did your set hold?

” the guy in the big bling was a calling station who had ran good. He was willing to call down with just about any pair and I didnt want him to get away”

This doesn't make any sense to me. He hates to fold so you were afraid to bet big for fear that he would fold?

Think of it this way: if you had 22 here, would you make a huge turn raise as a bluff? I'm guessing not, because you'd say that UTG had shown a lot interest and BB was a station. So now that you have a monster, make that huge turn raise.

It's a red flag that at no point in your post to you talk about a value target or put either player on a range. If you want to work on sizing, and you should, then you need to have an idea of what you're trying to get value from. Getting max value from big hands isn't usually about keeping your opponents in the pot no matter what.

I do seem to have problems getting all of my thoughts in before i post. it might be a good idea for me to start writing them down first.

I should of said he wasnt folding unless you put to much pressure on him. He would fold to larger bets. But now that I think about it that might of been when he didnt have anything at all.

And if I am being honest with myself. I struggle with ranging my opponents. I act to quickly when im in a hand and dont think it through the way I should. I get stuck into a what can I beat mentality and act accordingly.

Andrew has a couple of series you would really benefit from by the sounds of it.

First on is on hand reading…

…..ng-part-1/

His next theory series is on “getting paid” and also a great series.  You cannot watch these 2 series and not immediately become a better player.  These series should/will give you a much more clear thought process which I think you will need before you can work on your bet sizing.  ENJOY!
