This is the 5th hand from a $1 45 man regular speed MTTSNG on PokerStars. No stats or reads on player, never played with him before and obviously only 4 hands in so far.

1) Is my sizing okay preflop? Would you make it smaller/bigger and why?

2) Is this a spot for just one and done? Can we bet double barrel turn? The 3c isn't that great to bet and if I do bet there I probably have to bet the river as well to try to get him off 2nd pair and worse.

3) Is this a fold on the river, or should we call as we're getting such good odds?

Pre-flop is ok, personally I usually go 100 here but its not that big a deal.

Flop c-bet looks ok as well, maybe a little on the bigger size than it needs to be for villain to fold air. I usually go 120-140 range here but again not that big a deal.

Turn is not a good barrel card. If it was say Qc/Jc then I would fire again for sure as we picked up additional outs and can represent a few good hands if the river comes a club etc.

River – I would probably just give up here unless I had bet the turn in which case I might consider barrelling to rep the flush. Also, there are some other draws that missed as well in this spot (spades etc) so its probably a decent spot to make the third bet if you had bet the turn. As played, I would save the 100 chips although the line villain is taking does look incredibly weak so I wonder whether a bluff raise might work here – you would have to be pretty sure that villain is making a blocker bet though and could find a fold as you would be risking a significant proportion of your remaining stack.

I think I would go a little lower otf – around 80 … we are oop so making it a little bigger than normal wouldn't be bad either – around 100 is ok.

I like the flop cbet and turn check … I think this early I would give up and move on if not there (had he bet) then otr.  I think he has a pairish hand a lot of the time (44-66 and 88-99 perhaps) and also bd flush draws got there but I think he would've bet those ott … I think he shows up with a meh pair a lot of the time… so fold river.

A good way to approach this sort of question is to think about your whole range. You know you want to bluff some hands on the turn and give up with others, so the question is which box this hand belongs in. Two overcards is a decent but not great bluffing hand. The question is whether you have enough better candidates. So ask yourself: what other hands might you raise in this spot pre-flop, and will the majority of those with minimal showdown value (your AK will occasionally win at showdown even if you don't bluff) be better for betting again or for checking back.

If you haven't already, check out my Bluffing series for a lot more on this idea.
