This is a spot that, for some reason, i find really hard to play.
This is in a $33 6max turbo, Evildke is 21/19 over 58 hands
In my mind, we aren't really deep enough to set mine, and with the stacks behind, i dont really like flatting because we can get shoved on a lot i think.
3betting just doesn't seem right either.
since all other options suck, does that make a fold?

B – I know what u mean here, but u have 88 ip vs a pretty wide opening range in a six max game – a stronger situation than u think it is. You have an edge over his opening range and having position
is going to tilt this to being a more favorable spot than I think you think it is. Most players wont get too out of line with a 27 or 28 bb stack, and in a vacuum, I think his minr hints of that.
I agree with your thoughts about flatting. Even if someone doesn't shove, flatting invites the blinds into the pot often enough. 3 betting doesn't seem right because bec u prob have to fold to
a 4 bet, basically totally wasting the equity of your hand. But I don't think that will happen often enough not to make 3 betting the most profitable play here.
If a 3bet is the most +ev play here, is it really a disaster that we would have to fold to a 4bet once in a while?
With those stack sizes, I personally feel a small 3 bet is fine to isolate and can still get away from the hand if 4 bet. Idon't like flatting here bc it really opens up the door to a squeeze in later positions, and you will mostly always be folding to a c bet on flop when missed. I think if playing this, a small 3 bet to like 450-500 loooks really strong and you take control of the hand. If you are 4 bet you can still muck and have 24-25 bb behind. By 3 betting you are also putting the villain to a test if folded around to. His stack is similar to yours and he will know that he either has to 4 bet or fold most of the times.

i think 6handed against an opponent this aggro you should just 3b/call. if the plan is to 3b/fold i prefer calling and calling jams from behind if the OR folds.
any information as to how Villain reacts to 3bets?
Yeah, these are really weird spots for sure. For me I don't think I can fold this. I like Hagbard's suggestion of 3b/calling with it. I think it is a hand you absolutely want to play HU with the OR and the 3b should take care of discouraging those behind you from getting involved. Just a strange spot overall though, stuck in limbo.

ok, so most people are going with the “it sucks but just get it in” line. probably the best thing to do imo. (i ended up just folding, but thats kind of irrelevant)
is 88 the bottom of our 3bet get it in range? maybe 77 in there as well? 77+, AJs+, AQo?
