Hi guys!
A hand from the hot 7.50
Is this spot avoidable? It felt like an obvious shove to me with only 8bb . I was surprised when SnG Wizard suggested a fold. I don’t have the skills to run it in holdemrecources calculator, so if anyone wants to do that I would be very grateful.

This is a closer spot than I thought at first glance. I could go either way here, and it would depend entirely on my read of the EP limpers. Are they limp calling a lot just to see a flop? Are they limp folding a lot? Or are you new to the table and have no reads? If you shove you could have some dead money in the pot (like you did) and then you don’t need as much equity to make it OK.
I could see myself shoving or folding here. If they are unknowns I am folding. If they have been limp folding or limp calling with weak hands in EP I am shoving.

I think shoving is virtually essential here. Your hand has so much equity against their potential limp-calling ranges (they may very well limp-call KJ or worse), plus there’s so much money in the pot already that you barely need any fold equity to make it super profitable in terms of EV. Unfortunately I don’t have time to run it on HRC myself right now but I’d be shocked if HRC said anything other than shove here.
