Just wondering if anyone likes shoving river instead of betting 3 quarters of the pot?

Betting all in is pretty much always better than betting most of your stack, unless you have an exploitive reason for betting smaller (which presumably you wouldn't be asking if you did). I'd pretty seriously consider checking, though. I don't see him calling with much worse, but maybe I'm overestimating a $3 player.

V called with JJ. Yeah you're probably over estminating haha.
May i ask though , why would u consider checking river? are you saying there's a chance that a “better player” would check a monster?
I would of thought that when a opponent makes a bet bet check line , that seems pretty weak whether they are a good player or a bad one…

Given how many draws missed, I think it's a reasonable time to check at least some hands better than AK. I mean, if Villain has AA or KK, what is he hoping you call down with? In the former case he makes more money from checking to induce (especially if you bet AK for him), in the latter you probably have either a busted draw or a T, and he doens't need to bet agaisnt either. The real problem is that I don't think there are many worse hands that c/c, so he doesn't have to have better often. I mean, he ought to be more polarized here so that hands like JJ or KQ aren't in his range (though a better player probably isnt opening 5x in the first place).

I only just realised V made it 5bb pre! never the less i would have value bet river anyhow lol! as for what v would like me to have well i'd say AK/KQ and yeah that would be decent play on his part to induce bluffs on the river as like you said a lot of draws have missed.
Cheers 🙂
