So im grinding some sngs trying to build my bank roll. Villian got sucked out 2 hands ago and just doubled up with QQ over JJ. Overall the villian is not a good player been getting very lucky. My table image is very solid. I havent been pushing anyone around. We are also 8 handed and 1 away from the bubble. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

do you have a HUD?  I think against a random you are probably behind here, but would be nice to know his 3-bet %

villian is running a 23/15 with a f3b 50% (4), WTSD 66% and W$SD 40%. He was pretty much crippled until the last two hands I checked the hud and figured I should get it in pre because I wouldnt be able to push him off his hand. Is the 50% f3b something I should be causious of? This guy was bad all around but I guess what my underlying question is when u have a bad player should u take them showing strength more seriously?

do you have a stat on how often he 3-bets?  That would be the most relevant statistic here because he is 3-betting you here.  The only thing about this hand that would make me want to fold is that he makes it 4x, which, while it may not indicate aces, seems to show a degree of strength that seems like QQ+ and AK.  TT may be in his range, but I doubt it.  Since you opened UTG it also makes his 3-bet seem stronger.

His 3bet is 3% over 31 hands. Which indicates extreme strength and was also a stat that I did not look at before I shoved. lesson learned.

yeah that's pretty tight, mine is like 9% so, I think 3% + the fact you open utg on bubble makes this a tough fold.

I have to work on utilizing my hud some more. I read the stats that I have up on my hud but I dont really click on it that much to look at the other stats like I think I should. I think its a leak in my game im def gonna have to work on it. Quick question though if u feel u have a read on a player or the table which would u go with the hud or your read? Thanx for the insight jshilling09 TPE is def the best poker training site around with the best members.

Definately read.  If you think a player is going to do something before they do it, then chances are you are right in your read.  It is hard to get reads in tournaments, because you play so few hands with players, that's why the HUD is great.  And not a problem, always happy to talk strategysmile
