Been going over a hand history and think I played this too passive. No reads on villian and his 190 preflop seems odd but whatever. I flat to disguise my hand and I dont really feel comfortable 3betting here pre this early in the tourney.

As played I don't mind folding the river with two overs on board. But is this a major leak not just shoving the turn. Just a little lost going over it. What range do you put the villan on here? How would you play the term? and as played the fold is correct right?

I do believe what I was trying to do was keep the pot small and depending on the river card be willing to call down the hand. I feel a diamond on the river would be a scare card for him and we'd check the pot down and it a smaller card like a 2 of club or whatever I'd be willing to call a river bet. But going over it I'm afraid by checking the turn it allowed him to bluff a J10 type of hand. any help would be appreaciated.

jj is bottom of my 3 bet range here pre with position so thats what i would have done and when you check the ace it looks like you hate that card and have put yourself in position to be bet off the pot. 3 bet and c bet prolly takes it down

that ace hits your 3bet range nicely so when you check it you are waving the white flag

i'd probably 3b/call this with stacks at ~20BB effective.

i'd shove just about any turn but this particular one, and imagine that was your plan.

as played i'm having trouble thinking of any hands he bets river with that we beat. i highly doubt he's value betting 77/88/9x/Tx, and QJ/KQ/Ax all got there.

if you have 35bb but your opponent has 20bb, then your current strategy shouldn't be based on having 35bb but 20bb, so you have 20bb effective. does that make sense?
