i would call and see a flop.

When he is 4x-ing it preflop i dont think he is a good player.

I think he can have hands like:

Ax, KJ,K10,QJ,Q10, J10 and so on.

He will off course (if this is his standard openingsize) have AK AQ.

But since he isnt a good player i think you can call preflop and just play your hand. Dont try to overthink and bluff him in weird spots.

Call pre, if you hit, you play your hand. If you dont get a good flop, just check/fold.

Has villain been 4xing a lot pre? Is he doing it cos the BB is a fish? What's BTN's attempt to steal stat? In a vacuum I think I just fold and move on to the next hand. I would need evidence to suggest that villain was opening wide enough to consider getting involved here, and if he was then I'd probably just flat pre, even though we're getting pretty rubbish odds considering we're going to be OOP the rest of the hand.

Thats a big open. Have we seen many hands this villian showed. I would have to at least see the flop and then procede. 60ish BBs deep. His stack if we flop well would be nice. Have to know how much c-betting he did. How aggro he was? Game flow would make this a three bet a call or just move along nothing to see here.

Given the info you have, I would just fold.  50+bb OOP, 3bet pots are some players bread and butter, but if you don't do it often, you will find yourself lost.  Granted, if you plan is as primitive as 3bet and Cbet 1/2 the pot, thats not so bad.  However, if you are ever confused and lack a game plan for how to play marginal spots OOP, there is no harm in folding.  Also, you have position on this guy every other hand except this one, and nobody knows what hands you are folding.

I would probably fold or 3bet, as i think calling just sets you up for a guessing game the rest of the hand.

Agreed on essentially all of what is posted here, but wanted to add another thought from Casey's latest video series. In additon to the sizing of the raise, have we noticed if there has been any varying of his sizing? Bigdog looks for sizing tells; for example, maybe someone min raises when they have a hand, but 3x's when they are marginal.
