Reads : Original Raiser is 22/12/9 over 134 hands. Seems okay but haven't seen two many hands on his showdown but he's playing a decent game and isn't too tight but not too active. Flatter and BB are pretty passive and call way too much. On the donkish side from my reads. In game I'm not using a HUD if that matters but just putting that here to frame the players.

I'm going to give my thoughts on this. I'm reviewed this and think there are two courses of action we can take and want to frame the discussion around my thought process as I may be 100 % overthinking this and making it a little more complicated.

So I love the flop obviously. UTG range is a little tighter given his position and he leads out a little weakish. I can obviously raise get it in here most of the time. That may be the best line but I'm thinking about maximizing my value I guess I'd say.

My ranges on villain (hands that call reraise) : KK+,JJ,88,QdQh,QdQs,QdQc,AKs,KJs+,AdQd,AdJd,AKo,KJo+,AdQh,AdQs,AdQc,AhQd,AsQd,AcQd,AdJh,AdJs,AdJc,AdTh,

AdTs,AdTc,AhTd,AsTd,AcTd

We have ~ 77 % equity against that range. Granted he might fold out some of that and he might have an even wider range that he doesn't continue with. But safe to say I see tons of merit for raising here getting it in. It may just be the best line to take. But is it the only line to take?

So I've started to think about the merits of flatting in this spot. When a diamond hits the turn our equity drops to 52 %. When non diamond blanks hit our equity is up over 80 % and the times the board pairs we obviouly have the nuts. This is against that above range. Maybe flatting keep that range wider.

There are 10 diamonds in the deck possible to turn that can hurt our equity. But there are many non diamond turns that are gonna be safe for us.

On diamond turns we might lose value from some of the range that would have gotten in it on the flop. AK, KQ, AA with no diamonds maybe. We are also behind a good amount when that hits. When a diamond doesn't turn we can still get value from alot of the Adx in that above range as well as the AdA, AdK, QdK type hands as well. So i'm trying to get a feel for approach this internal debate in a clear manner.

This is getting a little confusing even posting this. I'm just curious about others thoughts on my thought process (its a little jumbled). Is it worth considering other options? Am I going about it the wrong way?

edit : i edited the ranges as I realize JJ should be combos with JdJx ranges not effected too much. also forgot to include I though flatting also could give biglou (bb) chance to squeeze.

I like everything you said. I personally don’t like a flat. I’d rather lock the equity and get it in… It’s hard to think of many hands he could lead and fold to a raise here. If he’s got Adxx it seems more likely he can x/c x/r with these hands, and if he did lead Ad it doesn’t seem like he’d be to willing to fold there. 50bb deep I like raising on the slightly bigger side here in case he plans to only peel one w Adxx hands. Raise to 1899??? Evaluate turn…
