Hey all,

I am mostly familiar with Playing live and it will always be my favorite for table dynamics, flow, and utilizing the virtue of patience to punish ppl.

However, I realize i need to start to play online to be accustomed to the styles, because these will definitely be encountered on the felt. Plus, playing online allows the volume to be able to see spots and hands and improve much much faster. Especially if you have ppl to review your plays and talk strat with.

However, I am wondering if in order to become super proficient in MTT's i am wondering if starting in SNG's, for the basis of developing a POST Flop game is a better route; coupled with playing HU on the side.

Of course i would also supplement this with also playing MTT's on the regular…. but from an improvement standpoint is this the proper thought process????

Thanks in advance for the insights all…..

Practice 100bb+ game aka post flop to river= Play small stakes cash

Practice 50-100bb game aka post flop but not as many rivers= Play maybe small stakes cash with half a buyin or maybe some SNGs?

Practice 25-50bb game aka post flop but almost no rivers = SNGs & HU (this is more for FT practice not true post flop)

Practice under 25bb game aka reshove & push fold = SNGs & HU

Very rough guide. But to answer your question, cash not SNGs are good for developing a post flop game.
