Hey,

Reads - Only read is that V has not been to active, they occasionely call raises pre. They have folded to their bb before when i raised it up from the sb so i just made it a standard mini raise.

on the flop , given that its a sb/bb spot i think we can at least get 2 streets from our hand here and i think front loading is pretty good here given the board texture.

On the river my plan was to c/c a shove ....i think v very may well be capable of shoving here with missed flush draws.
I must say the Q ain't a great card, but i think V will likely 3-bet a hand like AJ pre.

would you had played this hand any differently?

Arite dude 🙂 pre is fine flop Cbet is good when we are reraised on turn what do you think he’s doing this with on that board I just don’t think he’s bluffing here especially with his sizing it looks like he’s trying to get some value IMO I would just fold to reraise on turn . As played am folding river for sure villain could have small flushes k10 kq k8 q10 j9 just don’t see villain bluffing here an that all we beat really

Aggreed with Antricko here. I believe their play at this buyins will be pretty straightforward and include less bluffs than usual. I think the important thing here is to assess the knowledge level of the player. Has he done this before? Would he bet his winning hands aggressively like this?

Regardless of whoever he is though, with this stack, I am folding %50 percent of the time on the turn, and always folding on the river.

Alright antricko 🙂

cheers for the responses!

yeah i should prolly fold on the turn, it's just that his sizing was like a mini raise kinda…so i thought he may very well do this with draws , obv he could also do this with stronger hands too or hands that have really good equity against us

so yeah all in all i reckon folding turn is fine.

anyhow V shows QcTc

imo bad call him by him otf and lol @ his turn raise 😛

I am not surprised at all with his 2 pair here. Bold move on his side, I would have gone for thin value here because not everyone will call that huge bet.

Also, this happens to me online a lot. Fish calls and keeps calling with a pair and a bad kicker. And on the turn bombs it after turning his shitty hand into 2 pair. Its just not worth to even see it. They will have it most often than not. But the fun is when you know you have, you will get all their chips because they dont know how to fold 🙂

fwiw i do not like min-raising bvb this deep. your hand is good but you're giving someone great face-up odds and implied odds by min-raising with stacks this deep. id like to see a 3x especially at lower stakes when people call too much and then fold to too many cbets. i might even make it 1k pre

Turn is close but probably a fold, river is definitely a fold. Villain's river bet is probably too thin but I like his flop and turn line, don't understand the hate there. I generally agree with Chris about raising bigger pre although if V has folded to min-raises before you might as well exploit that.

I actually really like the turn play because he can get value from worse hands like draws and he can check back rivers for a cheaper showdown than if he decides to call turn and call river. River seems pretty weird but Im just folding on the turn most of the time.
