Hey
v has been opening up often, i've 3-bet shoved on them on a few occasions , so my image is percieved as aggressive.
v had a different stacksize at that time when I was 3-bet shoving ,I had a little bit more fold equity.
However he's got more chips now so we're gunna have less fold equity when we do shove, should we just fold and wait for a better spot?

These are really trivial spots you can easily answer yourself through simple mathematics. You out of anyone should have the best informed decision as you have been playing with the villain and have seen how often they open and how they play etc. Its very hard for anyone else to answer this.

Please save the below so you can do this yourself.

As I have previously written on one of your topics:

What opening range do you give villain?

What part of that opening range is villain going to call a shove with?

What equity does QJs have against his calling range?

You now have all the variables to make an informed decision as to the correct play.

Use the below formulae:

cEV = (chips we win when villain folds x frequency this happens) + (chips we win when villain calls x frequency this happens) – (chips we lose when villain calls x frequency this happens)

If you need any help with any part of the above formulae feel free to ask.

For the formula I will outline it anyway so that other users that see this topic can use it also.

For now, we will call the formula cEV = (A) + (B) + (C)

(A) = Amount of chips we win when villain folds x (combo of hands villain folds / total combo of hands villain raises preflop)

(B) = Total pot when called x our equity in the pot.                          Our equity is how often we win the hand

(C) = Amount of chips we lose, i.e. our stack x villains equity.

3B shove this hand , hes light opener as you said.  He aint opening into any stacks he is commited against with his bluffs. Your hand has a lot of equity when called, and your short and need to make a move soon, this seems like a fine place to do it.  High variance?  Maybe but I still click it all in here every time.

The formula does not account for people behind. CRev, SNGwiz or another formula can be applied to take this into account. I will find the formula later as I need to investigate the card removal effects
