I was watching a 1000$ buy in FTOPs yesterday when I realize every time someone raises a pot theres a 3bet.

I personally play more liek 10$ so I dont really use 3bet unless the blinds are like 500/1000 or even higher….Besides I much rather call a raise with AA and KK or QQ and make chips out of it than 3bet and kill action.

What should be your srategy when theres like a 3bet pre-flop every time someone opens a pot??

Tighten up your opening range a little and widen your 4 betting range a lot.

i watchd that same tourny, had a couple friends playn. but ur right.. all opens are followed by 3bet. pretty funny. 3betting not only represents strong hands but also used to gain pos vs players u feel are weak or opening lite. if some1 raises and u call then likely more ppl will call. but when some1 raises and u then  3bet ur likely getting less callers if any. ur tryn to isolate vs the initial raiser so u can play heads up.  but stronger hands are calling/4betting regardless of pos.

I have gained quite a good feeling about 3bet-4bet timing, so I'll just use that in my advantage. I'd open a little tighter from EP but not from LP and 4bet(shove) a little more.

It's always best to have have the last word. If I have the option to 4bet, but villain will have the option to 5-bet I rather let it go than to 4 bet, because there are enough sickos' to just jam there hehe 🙂

You shouldn't play tooo tight, but just play loose enough to set up some nice sick 4-bet spots 🙂

Good advice. A lot of people now see UTG and UTG+1 as the new steal position but a lot of people still aren't light 4 betting when they get 3 bet in that spot.

Conversely, at mid-stakes and higher you almost never LP open get nothing but folds.

Important thing to remember is using this mindset against the right players and at the right tables.

You can have an advanced level of thinking but if no one else at the table does then you're simply leveling yourself and giving chips away.
