First off, long time podcast listener, first time member and poster in the forums. I love what you guys have done here.
Secondly, I am headed for my annual pilgrimmage this Sunday, and I'll be playing in the little one drop for the first time. Previous years I've played the 1k, 1.5k, and/or daily deep stacks. This year the calendar worked out that the only low-level bracelet event is the little one drop when I am there.
The little one drop is a reentry tournament, which to me means if I bust out early, playing again is no different than late-regging, because I get a new table with new opponents. Do I understand that right?
Now, I know that rebuys are mandatory because you know your opponents, and there is equity in that. With that gone in a reentry tournament, plus reentering with a shorter stack relative to the number of BBs you have, is there any value in reentering?
I ask because I don't mind paying for a reentry or two if it turns out that way, but if there is no EV bonus for doing so (like there would be in a rebuy tournament), I would rather do what I usually do when I get knocked out of a tournament, which is get all-you-can-eat sushi and pass out.
Thanks to all responses in advance. I appreciate that I can ask pros these kinds of questions 🙂
different people have different takes on this. I tend to only re-enter if I will still have 30+ BBs. I mostly do that only in online events though. I almost never do it in live events. In fact, I have not done it all summer.
That being said, I know of some people who fired 3-5 bullets at the Little One Drop.
