With no reads and you being new to the table.

I would credit you to have a top tier hand unless proven otherwise

take note of how many times you call what you believe is a suspected bluff or when you bluff your self villain or yourself has bet on all 3 streets. i find myself really questioning villains when they 3 barrell and have started to think that 90% of 3 barrells are bluffs its kinda like the golf rule with regards to trees, trees are supposed to be 90% air i dont have any data to back up my staement but when i play and see a 3 barrell i always say to myself thats the old 3 barrell bluff thats 90% air

Yeah i'd definitely be giving you credit here because either you have a decent pair or a decent A without reads.  Good bluff

Yea, big pair QQ+ or big ace AQ+. villain has to give u credit here for being strong unless he has wt we're tryin to represent. I hate when that happens… lol

I would think your range here is 88, 77, JJ, AQ, AJ or total air……I feel as if your hand is weighted towards your monsters a lot more here based on our limited information

This is actually pretty interesting, because I find myself thinking similarly when I see three barrels.

Yeah it's a pretty standard tight range – new to table + UTG raise + 3 barrel into big stack should = monster

Which makes it either a sexy bluff or a fantastic punt!

I would credit you for a big holding until you prove me otherwise. When you barrel and show that you don't care that two overcards to the flop show up I would credit a monster. Only question as the big stack that I have is, would it seem worth it to call you down to try to get information on you right away? (I think my answer is no? But curious if anyone in the villians shoes tries to extract that information).

hey guys, So i ended up opening 8h 6h UTG n flopped middle pair. I obviously needed to lead this flop in order to represent holding any kind of strength. I had a plan:

if he folds to my flop lead, great.

if he raises my lead i fold.

if he flats the flop, i planned on barrelling any A or K or heart

After leading the turn again and the river being a K i felt the only way i could win this pot was by trying to make a bet size that looks like value / want to get paid off but not too small so he calls w/ anything.

fortunately villian did not have the hand i was representing 🙂

I think you rep Ak or Aq by the river I dont think you have TT-JJ because would you play them that way??? Maybe QQ or KK but again I kind of doubt that so imo you have a very small range as played. But being new to the table I give you some credit. Not sure Im in  love with opening that hand with no reads on the table.
