I’m no BigDog but I think Casey said that once the antes kick in he then starts to really open up his game. It is pretty much standard poker up until that point. Play the premiums, don’t be afraid to go broke early if you’ve got lots of outs to get that big stack seems to be the general theory. Hopefully he replies here 🙂
Ya generally I play pretty tight til antes having said that If i still really extreamly deep and antes have just begun. Ill kinda wait because if im 200 bbs deep or whatever picking up 2 or 3 bigs is not helping my stack that much so my opening range will still be slightly tigher then full opening and stealing times.

Casey…how much of your early nitty approach is due to the fact that you are playing a gazillion tables?
I guess my question is if you are playing a live tournament and have all you focus on that table are you loosening up and playing more aggressive early trying to chip up?
Also it seems as though your super aggressive image (from later in tournaments) is going to get you paid very well with your super tag early style. Do you feel that a regular mtt player withought a superman imagine should play this tight early on?
