How do you deal with hyphenations in poker writing? When I'm writing about poker I have the urge to hyphenate everything because it seems like it's grammatically correct, but it comes across as stylistically awkward. There are just so many compound words in the poker lexicon that it's easy to get sentences with three or four hyphenated compounds, often used consecutively. I reckon I should probably look at my wording on a case-by-case basis to try and find alternative phrasing, but any useful tips would be most welcome.
