Interested in how others would've played this hand.

I could've cashed in this tourney if I folded to the money, I had enough of a stack to do it. I decided before I played that I would not do that but just play my normal game. I fell short by 20 players or so. My AK ran into QQ and I lost.  Still hurts but was happy I did not let the bubble effect me. Something that I really need to work on, and I thought if I could do it on a tourney like this one (which is big for me) it was a step in the right direction. Anyways here is the hand.

Can't really give a bad report on any of the players. The only real aggresive player is MaartenkNL, was 3 betting a lot and never got to see his cards. All the others are quite passive and basically ABC poker was being played which seems understandable so early and deep in a major tourney.

I would reshove, although Roma's minraise UTG+1 worries me a little I think you got Uhhmee's range crushed.

26BB reship with QQ sounds reasonable to me.  We dont want to call as might induce UTG+1 into a shove…

I agree with both of you. I really wanted to shove. But as stated the min raise UTG +1 was a little concerning.

I actually decided to call. My reasoning being that calling from such a position looks really strong, and It looks like I'm inducing a shove. It does look like if this guy calls 1/3 of his stack his not folding. I wanted to see what the min raiser and those behind me would do and then re-evaluate. I can't see anyone with marginal holdings isolating this much of their stack after my call looking so strong. I know it was the more conservative line, but being so deep I still think I can get away from such a hand. If we were shallower, it's an easy shove.

UhhMee: shows [9spade 9heart] (two pair, Tens and Nines)

Easy fold really. Once villian shoves his cards are pretty much face up. Result was correct but still not sure whether I played it correctly.

Why don't we want to induce utg+1 into a shove…don't we want him to shove JJ, TT….If we shove it's not like he's folding AA or KK…I prefer to call and induce worse (and of course AK) but reshipping you only get called dead….Plus by calling it gives you a chance to gain more information if it goes SB jam, BB jam, utg+1 call..it's not too hard to get away.

Great insight sir. When we call 26bb's which is nearing half our stack, are we committed? We are never committed if we know we are beat imo. Our hand is to strong not to call the 26bb's but how much of your stack are you calling a shove with and then never folding because you are committed?

It would take some pretty substantial action to get me to fold QQ in this spot; because when I flat I am trapping most of all.

In regards to being committed; I'm not sure if there is really an exact % of your stack as you will get many different opinions mainly because of the tournament life vs pot odds debate….So I'm not sure how to give you an exact answer here…but maybe 1/3 of your stack with 5 cards to come with just about any holding I guess.

Ya, I like flatting the best here trying to trap and get 99-JJ to shove thinking they have FE.

Yeah, flatting 1/3 our stack so early should be a dead give away of our own range to good players but stranger things have happened so flatting is still much better than shipping.
