Sorry I don’t have the hand history. It was a $11 2k rebuy after the rebuy period with 43 players left and was a 10 handed table. blinds were at 200/400. the UTG limped 400 with 3900 chips, MP2 raised 1200 with 12k in chips, I was in hijack pos with 5600 chips I shoved pre flop with QQ. The SB went AI as well as MP2, UTG folded.

Should I have flatted the 1200 or was the shove the right thing to do?

with that stack (14bb) the shove looks definetly right and would be the only option for me!

Thanks guys, I thought so but thought I would ask for some input. I got beat out by the big stack with an AK with an A on the flop. The blind had AJ. My poker cruncher app on my iphone said it was basically a flip at ~52%. oh well next time!

With ~14 bigs what a pretty hand to wake up with. I would be happy with a shove, but realize that when called most of the range is A10s+, AJ+, KJs+, probably 10s+… so you could be racing. You need to win some coin flips in the later rounds to win tournaments, but try to make sure you're on the +side of the coin flips (>50%) and I think you'll be fine.

Shove always in that spot. The UTG limp with a 10bb stack is always mega strong but we cant fold two queens here.
