BTN is 16/5 over 44 hands with AFq: 33. When he calls my cbet I can't help, but put him on a K – is this wrong? I checked the turn in the hope he'd give me the information I needed by betting if he had a K and checking behind without one. Is this thinking okay? I feel gross folding this turn, but is he ever getting out of line here? Would anyone check this flop even though it's an ideal one to cbet?

it is pretty sucky having to fold, but unless villain does this with a flush draw, i think you beat exactly zero percent of his range

i think cbetting this board is perfectly fine. u asked if ur thought process was right by checking turn in hopes of getting the info u needed. ur thinking by checking and villian betting we're beat here. not all the times.  i think ur thought process should be more geared toward keeping the pot small in case ur beat. that is the only reason y we should be thinking of checking this turn with an over card on board to our pr. i wouldnt get in habit of thinking that we're beat everytime som1 flats our cbet and bets on a card. maybe he had a read on u in the 44 hands he has been on table and felt like floating flop and betting turn if checked to would get u to fold. you never know. im not saying we're not beat here but im just tryn to get u to think a little more objectively and not just assuming we're beat here ALL the time. hope this helps.

btw, with all mentioned in my post a fold on turn is perfectly fine.
