Minor point but I like a slightly bigger re-raise. Good hand to check-call IMO. Not a lot of second-best that can pay off multiple bets, not much to fear from a free card, good bluff-catcher, etc.

That’s what I was thinking and is the route I ended up taking.  However, are there any player types against which a shove may make sense here?

Sure, if you think you’re ahead and he’s rarely/never folding, shoving is best.

i def like it bigger pre. we are giving villain  a very good prize to peel in position relatively deep stacked.

flop is a ch/call. our hand is likely the best as we would assume that he 4bet the top of his range pre. Additionally we block a lot of flush combos he peels pre.

i dont think that we gii c/shoving versus to many worse hands 

 

whats your plan for turn?
