well i would play it differently up to the river.

As played you might ask yourself the question how big your MDF should be vs that bet in that pot. this will bring you a lot closer to the answer yourself.

I like the way you play the hand, you raise and bet your flush draw for value, then your top pair + flush draw for value again, then check call to bluff catch on the river.

I’m not raising the river as I don’t think his Tx are going to pay and if we raise plus we are going to have to shove which he’ll only call with better. I’d just call that river, the rest of the hand feels ok as played.

It’s a bit close, but I’d rather call pre-flop, especially against a presumably loose opponent. With the three-bet you’re mostly just bloating the pot OOP with a hand that won’t play that great with a low SPR.

Flop bet is good as played. Once you improve your hand on the turn, you need to do some planning, not just snap bet again because you like your hand. Check out my “Getting Paid” series where I talk about value planning. You need to decide how many streets your hand is worth BEFORE you bet the turn. You shouldn’t get to the river and say “oh crap, he called, now what?” I would check the turn. If Villain bets, you have a good bluff-catcher. If he checks, you can value bet almost any river.

As played, I guess I’d call just because the bet is so small, but I don’t think you beat much that V would bet. Biggest mistake is the turn bet IMO.

Is not a three-bet pot, V limps and I raise from SB 2.5x. I should complet the SB instead?

I bet flop cause I have high cards, backdoor str8 draw, and flush draw, my plan was to bet flop and turn, river if my hand improve. On that 7d hits the river I am not sure what my target is, to get value from, I know V can call flop and turn with str8 and flush draws, some pair Tx, or 78, for two pair and sets I only have the flush.

About the turn bet you said, what should I do? bet bigger? not bet?

I have watched your “Getting Paid” series once, and it is really awsome!! I really enjoy all the thinking behind each play, each streets, why to bet, why to check… I am planning to watch again this weekend, there is a lot of information there, I will have to watch some more to get it all. Nice job doing that!! Definitely will check all your series soon.

I am affraid to say I am Jon Snow of MDF (know nothing embarassed)

I did a quick search on it, minimum defense frequency, that is correct right? Found some videos about big blind defense here on TPE, haven´t watch it yet, but does not mention “MDF” for what I seen, can you inform me about where to get more info on this topic?

Thanks!!
