The player on the button numbers were 50/34.  Also he was raising his button 40% of the time.   These stats were from playing 68 hands against them.  How should i have played this differently?  Should I have bet on the turn?   Another stat was the villian was CB 80% of the time.

I would have reraised post-flop bet, that is a good hand for your flop. You want to try and get that down to one heads-up, get the other yahoo out of there. If you did not take it down there I would have fired another barrel on the turn, chances are you are ahead of his range. With his high CB %, better to reraise him and let him know you made the flop then give him the chance to suckout, if he had a king you allowed him make it.

I like the flat with  a hand that can flop big.

On the flop I reraise to around 1100.  You hand is vulnerable and a lot of cards on the turn can put you fromm best to 2nd best. Also if you end up showing down it will allow you to 3 bet him on flops you didn't hit later on.

The nit inside me says fold this preflop….. You're out of position against a LAG and you know you're gonna be looking @ a cbet on the flop. If he's aggressive as you say he is, then you've got position on him, try and use it to your advantage and let him hang himself when you have a monster in position. It's still early in the tourney……

As played, I'm just looking to get to a showdown as cheaply as possible.

Check/call flop.

Check on the Turn

Check River……… I 'probably' fold here, but I understand the reason for a call, villian either has KT, KJ, K9, or he has complete air Ax, JT, T9 etc (I assume he bets the turn with trips/fullhouse etc)………. if he has a hand like 77, 88, 99 etc he checks this river.

Pokerstove stats are interesting, I've assigned villian a really wide range, where he bets a KING and alll air. We have around 83% equity, which makes it a call on the river.

Board: 6s 5h Qc 5s Kh

flat is fine 100bb deep. I'd c/r flop or c/c and  lead out on the turn w ur fd to get more value and scare away naked K or A who can bink the river.

If u get 3bet on the flop after u c/r I'd fold. If you c/c flop and would've lead out on the turn and villain raises, i'd be torn between folding or seeing the river to bink the flush if the price is right.

As played villain's riverbet does look like a valuebet, but getting 3.4-1 on a call and the laggy style of villain i'd prolly call and sigh if he has a K

I dont hate the way you played it at all being OOP and 100bb deep. You have value in your hand and i dont see a ton of value from raising at any point, allthough it may be +Ev to do so, but since your OOP 100bb deep i probably dont risk the marginal value. Defo calling the river allthough the sizing is telling me 'I binked the K, please pay me off'

I like this best. It may be a bit passive…but sometimes..let the donkey pull instead of pushing….. you're also deep enough to get a feel of how the villain plays.

c/r the flop seems backwards to me. what hands do we expect him to be calling the check-raise with?

and for those who say our hand is vulnerable, to what? this is as dry a flop as can be.

i think OP played the hand fine.

Hagbard:  we are vulnerable to a K or and A or a straight  draw frm a 78 or 34 aren't we?  I realized its not a huge range of hand sbut certainly on a 50/34 villains range.  I say we take it down on flop.  if we are simply check calling twice we just give him a chance to catch up and we risk about the same amount of chips.

Were check/calling to under represent our hand allowing villain to bluff. Getting more value out of villain when he has air than we would get if we raise. This way keeping the pot manageable OOP with 100bb

Our hand is volurnable to certain hands yeah, but if we get involved in a big pot here then more times than not we’ll have to fold at some point since we have so much to risk with a moderatley strong hand.
don’t put yourself in a spot where you may have to make a big laydown.

at first look i really liked the line of c/c flop and lead turn but then i thought what if he raises on the turn what do we do with our hand then its would be a tough decision i think.  and if he flats turn what do we do on river probably have to bet fold.  i think after looking at it from that angle there is not a whole lot of value in a lead on the turn.  i guess i like your line the best and i would have to call river even though i have no idea where i am at now.

I think you played it fine as well.  Don't mind your line one bit.
