Hey

Not much reads on v, only read i have is that they've been opening up frequently.

I was not sure if i should bet flop or check it back , .if v has called our 3-bet with lets say hands like KQs , QTs we're gunna be behind obv,  of course villians range is going to be much wider then only that , maybe JTs, J9s , AJo , , 88 , 99 and so on  we could get value from , but we ain't getting 3 streets from these hands anyway. So i think backloading our value would be better espically since we are IP rather then front loading.

so ya what im wondering is do u prefer to check back flop to get more info of your opponents range and then go for 2 streets on the turn and river?

cheers.

I wouldn't be surprised if a GTObot would check this back. All of the backdoor draws, combined with the fact that your hand is somewhat overrepped considering that this is a 3bet pot, make it a reasonable check-back spot. That said, against most real life opponents, especially weaker ones, you're probably better off betting.

You're right to be thinking that you can't get three streets, but this board is much more conducive to frontloading because of how many straights will usually be possible by the river.

I think you're too concerned about figuring out what your opponent has. Sure, it's possible that you don't have the best hand, but that doesn't have to override all other considerations. I mean, surely you're ahead of his range.

Lol yeah andrew I am concerned, btw what's a GTObot?

Front loading would be good i agree also against better hand readers,  but i thought against weaker value targets we should be backloading? I guess my value target here would be Jx and secondary value targets would be draws and pocket pairs also given that your opponent could put you on a draw or he could be on a draw with a hand like  KTs, K9s ,T9s, ATs, you're better of getting your 2 streets early. The reason being is because the turn can bring a scared card for a hand like JT and you then may miss out on value.
